Today we are drawing something special about valentine’s day that is how to draw lovebirds step by step. Why do we draw love birds on valentine cards and gifts? They are the active and loving birds who like social company and indulge with their partners to share their love with them.
We as humans like to adopt their activities and are excited to keep them as pets. There are nine species of loving birds which are found in parrots.
These small cute and colorful birds have a nice sound and are very interested in reproduction. Artists’ eyes are always looking for colors in nature so they enjoy sketching them on their sheets, and plunge in the beauty of nature.

Step1: Love birds originated from Africa and they are small but having all social norms. Draw the outer body of the parrot, you should keep a reference image in front of you. It requires some practice. So draw the outline with the help of curve and diagonal lines.

Step2: Now draw the beak which is curve from the top, then the diagonal line on the right side after it draw the little curve on the right side and then the bottom of the beak, draw the two diagonal line connected with each other inside the beak, then sketch the neck line, after it the feet with the help of diagonal lines.

Step3: Lovebirds enjoy sleeping in a small tent or any small place with a covering so they become relaxed in that covered place. Sketch the wing of the male parrot, with big and small curves. Keep a reference image in front of you for a better idea.

Step4: Here we will draw the female parrot on the left side of the male parrot. For it again you have to draw the outer body of the female parrot. Remember to draw the female parrot exactly on the same place as it is shown in the reference image.

Step5: No couple in animals feed each other except lovebirds, they feed each other like a human couple who are happy and express love by feeding each other. Now draw the beak, neckline and feet of the parrot.

Step6: Lovebirds don’t like to eat chocolates unlike humans, who bring chocolate for their females but lovebirds enjoy eating seeds, fruits and pests. Here complete the wing of the female parrot in the same way as we drew it with male parrot. Follow the reference image.

Step7: The lovebirds are called monogamous who live with the same partner for a long time.
Lastly fill the colors in the love birds. You can choose any beautiful background, like placing many birds as a pet in your home. You can also draw a garden or a tree and make them sit there to feel real about them.
Do you feel love for these small birds and want to share anything about them? Your opinions are most precious and appreciable for us. Have fun with your explorations.
