Hey friends today we are going to learn how o draw a lotus flower step by step. White lotus is the symbol of purity and cleanliness, it grows from muddy water and blooms to get the direct attention. In many religions it is symbolized as the purity of the soul. In practical life people give examples of a lotus flower that from the unexpected background also the talent can come out.
Step1: Let’s start from the easiest step, draw the leaf shaped petal. The petal should be thick from bottom and narrow from top. The Lotus flower has many white petals which give the flower a beautiful look, so we will draw the next petals step by step to achieve the complete image of lotus.
Step2: In the second step you have to draw two more petals, one should be on the right and the other should be on the left side. I have drawn them in red in the reference image.
Step3: Now draw one more petal and stalk in the bottom. The shape of the petal will be like a turned leaf, from the bottom point of this petal draw the stalk.
Step4: Here as you can see in the reference image two more petals are drawn which are expanding the flower. In the same way we will add other petals step by step to draw it into a full fledged lotus.
Step5: After adding two more petals on both the sides it shows similarity of lotus flower so we have completed half of our lotus. Draw the petals in the same way as it is shown in the reference image in the red highlighted area. Have you seen how leaf shaped petals are joined to create the beautiful flower? Let’s move to the next step.
Step6: Here you have two add again two petals on the right and let side.
Step5: Add a pair of petals which I highlighted in red in the reference image. They are small and will be drawn on the top of the lotus. There is a gap between these two petals which also will be filled by two more petals.
Step6: Here we have our complete lotus flower in the attached reference image. So draw these two more petals and see how beautifully you have done with your lotus.
Step7: Lotus flower is white in color so you can add any colorful background to increase its beauty. You can also add the natural background of water and leaves around the lotus flower to give it a more real look.
