Are you looking for the easy way of sketching the braid, here in this tutorial I will show you how to draw a braid step by step. Long braids look beautiful like in the past when most women had those long braids. It requires a lot of care and nourishment, nowadays most ladies dream of having such a braid. Drawing a braid is also a challenge but it should not be the complex one if you follow the easy steps which I’m going to share with you. So let’s get started.
Step1:There are different types of braid styles, some like the two braids that comes on right and left side. We are making the one at the middle of back side. Here you are creating the outer shape of bread, draw it in the same way as the reference image. Draw the horizontal line on the top then certain curves both the right and left side of the braid.
Step2:The basic learning of how to draw braid will help you out in making more than one braid also. Now draw two curve lines inside the braid as shown in the reference image. The red highlighted curve lines first draw it from the left side then the middle one.
Step3: We will draw the second knot , again the red line starting from the left side , after that the second curve which starts from the right side and touches the left curve. We have completed two knots which look quite well.
Step4: Add three more knots as shown in the reference image. Two knots we have already drawn in the previous step, now for the third knot, sketch the curve on the left side and on the right side also. By this way draw the third and fourth knot also.
Step5: Now draw two more knots and one extra curve in the end, that’s great. We have completed all knots in the braid. After that we will draw the bow and the rest of the flat hair as the lower part of the braid.
Step6: Draw the rectangle shape for the bow and the two curves on the right and left sides which will be closed from the bottom by a curly line. This will end up with the lower portion of the braid.
Step7: There are many shades of hair you can keep any with your choice. You can also draw a doll along with the braid. You can draw this braid into smaller or bigger according to your wish. Have fun with your exploration.
